The Borders & East Lothian Academy sides kicked off their Fosroc Scottish Rugby Academies Regional Championship challenge at the Netherdale 3G on Tuesday (23/07) against Edinburgh, and saw all three sides recording wins.
First up was the Under 16 side, which saw Peebles players Arran Cameron and Patrick Cannon both starting. Both players showed up well and Patrick also bagged a try. Borders won 24-5 with a strong defence being the difference between the teams.
Next up, the Under 18's fared just as well, running out 33-17 winners. Patrick Harrison, who was also a try scorer, started at hooker and would have been joined by Jay Coltman but for a training injury the previous evening. Also involved was Peebles Colts player Struan Wells, turning out for Edinburgh.
The last game of the evening was the Under 20 fixture with Peebles player Stuart Hunter playing his part in a 21-0 win over the capital side.
We all wish them well for the next set of fixtures on Sunday up at BTMurrayfield.
