I'm sorry to those who thought that it was to be this Saturday but several things mean that it has had to be moved back a week and I hope this hasn't put those already signed up off.  What is does mean is there is another week for those who haven't yet heard about it or had a chance to get in touch with me and book a place. 

As the name suggests this course is a good foundation to those currently coaching at the Mini level and also those who help out on occasions.  It is vital that we not only breed our own players but also our own coaching staff throughout the club and for those players, even those just starting out in the senior club, it would be a great asset to you personally and the club to boost the numbers of qualified coaches within Peebles RFC.

The course will focus on how to put together a training session and techniques on bringing the best out of players.  It is mainly designed for Mini level coaches however the principles can be applied to every level of coaching and for different sports too so if you are at all interested in coaching its the place to start and the earlier you start the better chance you have of succeeding.

Almost all the mini-coaches are either trained or signed up to this course and as we have had a good start to the partnership between the senior players and the mini set-up this season it would be good to see at least 6 players coming along to the course.  This will further cement the excellent relationship between the 2 spectrums of the club and allow players to take a more active role in coaching and development of the youngsters during the training sessions.  I promise you that you will get alot more out of it the more you contribute and also it will without doubt enhance your own understanding of the game making you a better player in the process.
