Peebles OAPees – On Friday 1st February – weather permitting - the Gytes is the place to be if you are a connoisseur of fine champagne rugby when Peebles OAPees take on local rivals Biggar Vets. These fixtures in the past have been characterised by the flowing open rugby played by both sides and are always fine entertainment for their supporters. No doubt there will be fine company to be had in the Eastgate Clubrooms after the final whistle with many talking points to discuss and banter to be shared. Kick off for OAPees fans is at 7:30pm.

Last Saturday– Peebles RFC – sponsored by Stobo Health Spa – were back at home when Stewarts Melville were the visitors to the Gytes for a Tennent’s National League 2 match.
Peebles came out on top by 25 – 17 after a very closely contested match where the home side’s defence was key to the win in not allowing the visitors to score from some heavy periods of pressure.
This weekend the Peebles Reds – sponsored by The Crown Hotel Peebles – have no fixture scheduled.
Last Saturday Peebles Reds – sponsored by The Crown Hotel Peebles – were on the road again when they travelled into Edinburgh to play Inverleith in a Tennent’s Reserve League East 2 fixture.

Piranhas News - It started cold, and ended colder at Stewarts Melville on Sunday. Even the folk from Newcastle were wearing tank tops. Bright afternoon, and a good opportunity to play against some talented teams new to the Piranhas. The final P6 game was gamely officiated in challenging circumstances as both sides wore the same kit, and frankly who knows what the score was. More training at Hay Lodge and High School on Sunday. Get wrapped up appropriately - and gloves might be an idea. Finally, look out for the emails about the One Club event on 20th April at the Hydro.
