P3-P7 Tournament at Kelso
The P3 to P7 Piranhas are attending the Kelso tournament this weekend at Kelso RFC’s ground, Poynder Park.
(See below for attached programme, pitch layout and welcome letter from Kelso Cougars).
Venue: Kelso RFC, Poynder Park, Kelso, TD5 7EH. First game kicks off at 11.00. Please be in Kelso for 10.00 if travelling there directly*.
Selection & Rotation: your year group coach should have been in touch to let you know who’s been selected to go to Kelso*.
Meeting Location: Gytes Car Park. We’re not taking a bus to Kelso, and so would be grateful for extra spaces in cars for those parents travelling
Meeting Time: 9.00
Arrival Time at Kelso: 10.00
What to bring:
Lunch: Host club will provide lunches for players and coaches.
Finish Time: between approximately 12.30 for P3 and 1.30 for P7.
Return Time to Gytes: 14.00-14.30 (depending on age group).
Cancellation: please look on the website Sunday morning in the event of bad weather causing any changes or cancellations to the plans above.
* We need to restrict numbers when we travel to tournaments so we don’t overrun our hosts and so operate a selection and rotation policy. Remember that we’re at Selkirk the following week and will do our best to make sure that all players get the same opportunities to play at tournaments.
* If you’re making your own way there, please be at Kelso for 10.00 to give the players enough time to get changed and warmed up for their first games – the tournament kicks off at 11.00, and there’ll be a lot of demand for parking.
