Welcome to Peebles Piranhas, the minis section of Peebles Rugby Football Club - New Players Always Welcome
Welcome to Peebles Piranhas, the minis section of Peebles Rugby Football Club. In conjunction with other Borders’ clubs, we introduce children of primary school age to rugby union through structured coaching sessions, player development programmes and tournaments throughout the season. We offer Mini, Tag, Touch and New Image Rugby, all in accordance with guidelines set out by the Scottish Rugby Union (SRU).
We aim to develop basic skills and agility, improve confidence in younger children (P1 to P3), and introduce them to the simple ethics and concept of sports. In older children we look to reinforce these principles, introduce contact skills (P4), develop game awareness (P5) and progress to more complex areas of the game, like lineouts and scrums, in P6 and P7.
