GYTES GOSSIP (PN 18 December 2009)

In a tense nail biter which went right to the wire, visitors, GHA, won at the Gytes by the narrowest of margins in a high scoring game. Tweed Homes sponsored Peebles had their chances to win, being held up over the line, missing out on a try due to a forward pass and a last minute tackle saving another, but it was not to be. Tomorrow, Peebles visit Hartreemill where they will be looking to avenge the defeat at the Gytes earlier in the season.

Meanwhile the seconds lost for the second week in a row at Philiphaugh and face Haddington tomorrow at home.

The colts game against Duns was cancelled but the U16 played on Sunday and beat Duns U16 by a handsome margin. Tomorrow the colts are at Selkirk YC for what will be a very difficult fixture.

Could all those players and non-players who grew tashes in November and pledged £5 to the Make A Difference (MAD) Charity please pay your dues to David Harvey as soon as possible and certainly no later than tomorrow; (enforcement orders and fines may be imposed).
