An update on the antipodeans
arriving next month. Steve Gee is due to arrive on the 22nd August he is
a utility back who can also goal kick and plays for Morrinsville Sports (www.bebo.com/MorrinsvilleSports)
Premier Senior team and Matt Thomson a second row forward who plays for Old Boys
University in Wellington (www.oldboys-university.org.nz)
is due to arrive on the 14th August while James Oakes is due back on the 13th
August.
Training started on Tuesday at
Hay Lodge (information for those that missed it) and Wednesday saw that start of
the touch rugby competition, also at Hay Lodge.
Graeme Paterson reports that
despite more signing up for the summer camp running from 28th to 30th
at Hay Lodge, places are still available especially for P4 upwards and a few
more in P1-3 level. The camp runs 10-3 each day and details can be found on the
club web site or by contacting Graeme Paterson direct.
Q: Why don't rugby players have
mid-life crisises? A: They stay stuck in adolescence.
The Platinum Club kick off on
the 31st is getting ever closer and you can join right up until just
before the draw to stand a chance of winning one of the inaugural prizes.

And finally , the function hall is now looking a bit bigger and will shortly be refreshed with some new woodwork, paint and a floor makeover. Many thanks to those that turned up on Sunday to assist. Volunteers for phase 2 should contact Jim Currie.
