Ever-present Anderson
To those who have asked, Donald Anderson has indeed capped an outstanding
season by equalling last year’s feat of appearing in all 22 of Peebles’
Premier III games.
In the list below, the first figure refers to the number of starts in
league games,
the
second one to appearances as a replacement.
Here goes : D.W. Anderson (22,0), Adam Clark (21,0), Ross MacNish (21,0),
David
Harvey (20,1) and Drew Moore (20,0).
Meanwhile on (19,0) are the trio of Craig Borthwick, Dan Boughtwood and
Donald Sangster.
Next there’s Tig Jocelyn (17,5), Dale Clancy (17,3), Davy Paton (16,2),
Alan Smellie (16,0) and Neil Hogarth (15,4) followed by Neil Cruikshank (14,3),
Willie Aitken (14,2), Duncan Macdonald (13,1) and Trevor Keen (10,11).
Then it’s Neil Clark (9,12), Ryan McConnell (9,6), Calum Farmer (7,4),
Andrew Sangster (3,4), David Anderson (3,3), Graeme McKinnon (3,2) and Craig

At
the Selkirk Junior sevens on Saturday Peebles lost in the first round to Howe of
Fife.
At Gala Wanderers Sevens, Peebles beat Kelso Harlequins in First Round but were
beaten by hosts, Gala Wanderers in Quarter Final.
Members are reminded to either return all raffle tickets and cash to Jim
Currie or to take same into the club before Sunday’s Tweed Homes Peebles
Sevens.
Also on Sunday the Calcutta Cup will be on display at the Gytes along with many other attractions so why not come down and support your local leg of the Kings of the Sevens!
