As promised, here are the scores of Peebles’ 128 tries in their
recently completed SHE Premier III campaign.
On 11 each are Donald Sangster, Neil Hogarth and Dale Clancy.
On 9 are Donald Anderson, Trevor Keen, and Alan Smellie with Duncan
Macdonald hot on their heels with eight.
Drew Moore, Neil Cruikshank and Davy Paton are next with seven apiece
while Ross MacNish and Dan Boughtwood have six.
Craig Borthwick and Calum Farmer have scored five followed by Craig
Hunter on four and Ryan McConnell on three.
On two each are Willie Aitken, Adam Clark and Tig Jocelyn with one apiece
coming from David Harvey, Andrew Sangster and Steven Irvine plus a single
penalty try.
In addition, Dan Boughtwood kicked 229 points from 27 penalties and 74
conversions while Donald Anderson kicked the remaining 27 points with 3
penalties and 9 conversions.
But does that make a grand total of 896 points for? It should!
As to the four BSPC Border league games and two SHE National Cup ties
this season – taking them together 19 tries were scored.
These were shared between D. Sangster (4), C. Hunter (3), D. Macdonald
(3)
and N. Hogarth (2)
with one each from D. Clancy, T. Keen, C. Farmer, A. Smellie, D.W. Anderson,
Andrew Brown and Euan Jackson.
Three kickers were used: D.W. Anderson had 3 penalties and 3 conversions,
D. Boughtwood 2 penalties and 3 conversions and C. Borthwick 1 penalty and 3
conversions.
